| 2 bunches baby carrots | 1 teaspoon sugar | dash salt |
| 1 | Scour the carrots with a vegetable brush. (Do not peel.) Place in 1-1/2 cups boiling water to which the sugar and salt has been added. Simmer, tightly covered, for 10 to 12 minutes. Drain, and garnish with buttered bread crumbs. |
