Beef Goulash (Rindergulashch)

INGREDIENTS:
1 lb beef chuck, cubed 2-3 onions 2-3 tbls butter
salt and pepper paprika 1 cup water
2 tbls flour 1 cup beef stock 3 tomatoes, sliced



1 Chop onions and brown in butter. Add meat and seasonings. Fry meat until browned. Add water, cover, and let stew for one hour. When juice has evaporated, sprinkle with flour, brown lightly; add beef stock and sliced tomatoes and cook together briefly. Serve with noodles, Spatzle, Salted or Fried Potatoes.
