| 6" square sponge cake | raspberry or apricot jam | 3 eggs |
| 1 cup milk | dash of vanilla | 2 tbls sugar |
| 1 | Split spinge cake in half and spread with jam; put together like a jam sandwich. Cut in cubes. Butter a pudding form and set cubes in it. Stir eggs in milk, add vanilla and sugar and pour over cubes. Cover, set in water, and cook over moderate heat for 40 minutes. Turn out on platter ans serve hot, with vanilla or wine sauce. |
