Strawberry Tea

INGREDIENTS:
4-6 tea bags 1-1/2 cups sugar 1-1/2 quarts cold water
1-1/2 cups fresh strawberries 1/4 cup water



1 Place tea bags and sugar in a heatproof pitcher. In a saucepan, bring cold water to a boil and pour over tea bags and sugar. Steep 5 minutes and remove bags. In a covered blender container, blend strawberries with 1/4 cup water until smooth. If desired, strain puree to remove seeds by pressing through a sieve with the back of a spoon. Stir berry mixture into brewed tea. Cool tea and chill, covered, until cold, about an hour. Serve tea over cracked ice.
