Turkey, Bean and Chocolate Chili

INGREDIENTS:
1 tablespoon olive oil 1 medium onion, diced 1 garlic clove, pressed
1/2 cup diced green bell peppers 1-1/4 pounds ground turkey 1 (4-ounce) can diced green chiles (mild)
1 tablespoon chili powder 2 teaspoons ground cumin 1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt or more to taste 1/2 of a 6-ounce can tomato paste 1/4 cup strong black coffee (make instant with espresso powder and water, if desired)
1 (28-ounce) can diced peeled tomatoes, undrained 1 (15 to 16-ounce) can kidney beans, rinsed and drained 1/2 to 1 (15-ounce) can corn, drained
1 (15-ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained 3 to 4 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro 1/2 ounce bittersweet chocolate (not unsweetened), chopped



1 Heat oil until hot in a large 4 to 5-quart pot. Add onion, garlic and green peppers and cook, stirring often, until soft. Add turkey and cook, breaking up, until cooked through. Stir in remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling over medium-high or high heat, reduce heat and simmer 20 to 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
2 NOTE: Top with chopped onions, shredded cheddar cheese and jalapeno slices, if desired.
