Fork Tender Spareribs

INGREDIENTS:
3 lb rack of spareribs 2 cups hot tap water 1 medium onion, very thinly sliced
1 lemon, very thinly sliced 1 cup barbecue sauce, bottled



1 In 13x9x2-inch dish place spareribs, bone side up. Add water. Cover tighly with plastic wrap, turning back one corner to vent. Microwave at Medium 80 to 90 minutes, turning over and arranging onion and lemon over top after 40 minutes, until fork tender.
2 Drain liquid from ribs and pour sauce over top. Microwave at Medium 10 to 15 Minutes, loosely covered with plastic wrap, until sauce has dried on top. Spoon sauce over ribs before serving.
3 TO COOK RIBS IN PIECES: Cut into 2 or 3-rib pieces and microwave in 3-qt. covered casserole.
