| FILLING: 4 medium (4 cups) pears, peeled, sliced 1/2-inch | 1 tablespoon lemon juice | 1 teaspoon cinnamon |
| 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg | TOPPING: 1/2 cup all-purpose flour | 1/2 cup quick-cooking oats |
| 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar | 1/3 cup butter, softened | |
| 1 | Heat oven to 375 F. Place pears in 9-inch square baking pan. Sprinkle with lemon juice, cinnamon and nutmeg. |
| 2 | In small mixer bowl combine flour, oats, brown sugar and butter. Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until crumbly (1 to 2 minutes). Sprinkle evenly over pears. |
| 3 | Bake for 40 to 50 minutes or until pears are fork tender and top is golden brown. Serve warm with ice cream or sweetened whipped cream, if desired. |
