| 8 (1/2-inch) center cut slices (form 1 pound round loaf) sourdough bread | 1/2 cup chutney | 4 (3/4 ounce each) slices Swiss cheese |
| 4 ounces thinly sliced cooked ham | 3 tablespoons butter, softened | |
| 1 | Preheat grill; heat until coals are ash white. |
| 2 | Meanwhile, spread 1 side of each bread slice with chutney. To assemble each sandwich, layer 1 bread slice with 1 slice cheese, 1/2 of ham and 1 bread slice. Lightly spread butter on both sides of sandwhiches. |
