| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 6 egg whites | 1 t vanilla | 3/4 t cream of tartar |
| 2 C sugar | 2 pkgs dessert topping | 2 C saltines, crushed |
| 1 C finely chopped pecans | 2 cans fruit pie filling | |
| 1 | Beat egg whites and vanilla until white and frothy. Slowly add sugar and cream of tartar; continue beating until stiff meringue forms. Fold in nuts and crushed crackers. Bake in 9x13-inch greased pan for 25 minutes at 350 F. Cool. Beat dessert topping and spread over cold crust. Spread pie filling on top of desserrt topping. Chill for several hours before serving. May be frozen. |
