| 1/2 cup ketchup | 1 medium onion, chopped | 3 tablespoons brown sugar |
| 2 tablespoons vinegar | 1 teaspoon basil or bouquet garnish | 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt |
| 1/4 teaspoon thyme | 1/4 teaspoon salt | 1/8 teaspoon pepper |
| 3 lb beef brisket | ||
| 1 | In small bowl mix together ketchup, onion, brown sugar, vinegar, basil, garlic salt, thyme, salt and pepper. Pour half of sauce over brisket in 12x8x2-inch dish. Cover with plastic wrap turning back one corner to vent. Microwave at high 15 minutes. |
| 2 | Microwave at medium 45 minutes. Turn brisket over and pour other half of sauce over meat. Microwave at medium 45 to 60 minutes, until meat is tender. Let stand 10 minutes, then carve into very thin slices and serve with sauce. |
