INGREDIENTS:
1 package dry yeast 1-1/2 cups warm water (105 to 115 F.) 1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon salt 4 to 4-1/2 cups all-purpose flour 3 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
1 tablespoon garlic salt (optional)

1 Dissolve yeast in warm water; let stand 5 minutes. Stir in honey and salt. Gradually stir in enough flour to make a soft dough.
2 Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface, and knead until smooth and elastic (about 1 minute).
3 Divide dough into 24 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a 10-inch rope. (Cover dough while working to prevent drying.) Place ropes 2 inches apart on greased baking sheets. Brush tops with melted butter. Sprinkle with garlic salt, if desired. Cover and let rise in a warm place (85 F) free from drafts, 30 minutes or until almost doubled in bulk. Bake at 400 for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
