Raw Meat (Yuk Whe)

INGREDIENTS:
1 pound sirloin steak 2 cloves garlic 1 tablespoon beef stock
1 tablespoon sesame oil 1 tablespoon sesame seeds 1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon sugar 1/2 pear 10 pine nuts



1 Remove any fat from the meat. Slice the steak paper-thin across the grain into pieces about 2-1/2-inches square. Cut each square again, also across the grain very fine to make long strips.
2 Crush the garlic and add it to the meat along with the stock, sesame oil, sesame seeds, soy sauce, sugar and salt. Just before serving, peel a pear. Slice it thin into finger-shaped pieces in the same manner as for the meat. Arrange the meat on a platter, garnish with the pear and sprinkle with coarsely chopped pine nuts. Serve immediately.
