| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 1/4 cup cider vinegar | 2 tablespoons sugar | 1 teaspoon salt |
| 1/8 teaspoon pepper | 1 cup chopped onion | 1 tomato, diced (1 cup) |
| 1/2 unpared cucumber, sliced paper-thin (1 cup) | 2 pounds ground beef | 1-1/2 teaspoons salt |
| 1/8 teaspoon pepper | 1/4 cup chopped sweet pickle | 8 hamburger buns |
| 1 | Mix vinegar, 1/4 cup water, sugar, the 1 teaspoon salt, and 1/8 teaspoon pepper; add onion, tomato, and cucumber. Cover and refrigerate 1 to 2 hours; drain well. Combine meat and remaining salt and pepper; mix lightly and shape into 16 patties. Grill burgers quickly over medium coals, turning once. |
