| 6 beets | 6 boiled potatoes, cold | 4 hard-boiled eggs |
| 2 apples | 3 large sour gherkins | mayonnaise or oil and vinegar |
| salt and pepper | ||
| 1 | Cook the beets as in Red Beets recipe. Peel and cut them in small dice. Chop all the other ingredients and mix with the beets. Mix with mayonnaise, or, if this is considered to be too nourishing, use oil and vinegar. Add salt and pepper to taste. The salad should be of a rather solid consistency. |
