Beef with Onions (Zwiebelfleisch)

INGREDIENTS:
1 lb beef 3/4 lb onions 1/4 lb lard = 1/2 cup
2 tablespoons flour 1 tablespoon vinegar 1/2 pint sour cream = 1 cup
1 cup beef broth or stock salt, pepper, chopped carraway seeds half a teaspoonful marjoram



1 Fry the chopped onions golden brown in the hot fat. Pour 1 tablespoonful of vinegar over it, add the soup or stock. Now cut the meat into thin slices and add to the onions. Put in the marjoram, the carraway seeds, salt and pepper, then simmer until soft. Mix the flour with the sour cream, add to the meat, and simmer for another five minutes. Serve with Nockerln.
