French Toast

INGREDIENTS:
2 eggs, lightly beaten 1-1/4 cups milk 1 Tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla 4 Tbsp (1/2 stick) butter 6 pieces bread, thickly sliced
warm syrup powdered sugar



1 Whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, and vanilla.
2 Melt half the butter in heavy skillet.
3 Dip bread, a slice at a time, in egg mixture. Brown both sides of each slice in skillet, adding butter when needed.
4 Serve topped with warm syrup and powdered sugar.
