Louisiana Boiled Rice

INGREDIENTS:
3 quarts water 2 tablespoons butter or margarine 1 tablespoon salt
2 cups uncooked regular rice



1 Heat water, butter or margarine and salt to boiling in a large heavy saucepan. Stir in rice and heat to boiling.
2 Boil rice 15 minutes, or until tender. Drain rice in a large strainer. Pack into a buttered 8-cup bowl; cover bowl with foil.
3 Keep rice warm in a very low oven (250) until ready to serve.
