| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 1/2 watermelon | assorted sliced peaches, strawberries, papaya cubes, cantaloupe and watermelon balls, diced pineapple, sliced siwi, tangerine sections, sliced bananas, grapes. | 1 pt fruit sherbet (preferably pineapple) |
| DRESSING: 1 cup sugar | 2/3 cup light corn syrup | 1/3 cup hot water |
| 2 egg whites | dash of salt | 1/4 t vanilla |
| 1/4 cup mayonnaise | 1 T orange rind, grated | |
| 1 | Halve a watermelon, with the cup running lengthwise. Fill with assorted fruits. Chill thoroughly. |
| 2 | Combine sugar, corn syrup, and hot water. Heat slowly, until sugar dissolves. Boil until syrupy. Beat egg whites and salt until stiff. Gradually beat in syrup. Add vanilla. Cool. Fold in mayonaise and orange rind. |
