Chippewa Quiche

INGREDIENTS:
1/3 cup uncooked wild rice pastry for 9-inch pie 1-1/2 cups diced ham (about 1/2 pound)
2 cups (8 ounces) shredded Swiss cheese 2 tablespoons butter or margarine 1/2 cup diced green pepper
3 green onions, minced 4 eggs 1 cup whipping cream



1 Cook wild rice according to package directions. Line bottom of a 13x9x2-inch baking pan with pastry. Prick pastry with a fork. Bake at 450 for 5 to 6 minutes. Let cool completely.
2 Layer cooked wild rice, diced ham, and shredded Swiss cheese over pastry; set aside.
3 Melt butter in a small skillet over medium heat. Add green pepper and green onions, and saute until tender. Sprinkle sauteed vegetables over cheese. Beat eggs and whipping cream until well blended. Pour egg mixture over mixture in pan. Bake at 375 F for 35 to 45 minutes or until set. Let cool slightly; cut into 1-1/2 inch squares. Serve immediately.
