INGREDIENTS:
1 pound eye of round or sirloin tip roast 1/2 tespoon salt pinch of sugar
freshly ground black pepper to taste 1 stalk lemongrass, white part only, very thinly sliced 4 tablespoons nuoc mam (fish sauce)



1 Slice the beef into long thin strips across the grain. Place the meat in a bowl with the remaining ingredients and marinate for 1 hour.
2 Place on wooden or bamboo skewers and barbecue to taste. A few minutes on both sides over high heat should do. Don't overcook!
