Teething Cookies

INGREDIENTS:
2 tblsps molasses 30ml 2 tblsps dark brown sugar (mix with 1 tblsp water 30ml + 15ml) 1 tsp vanilla 5ml
1 tsp water 1 tsp egg yolk (unbeaten) 3/4 cup flour 200ml
1/4 cup powdered milk 60ml 1/2 tsp salt 2ml 1/2 tsp baking powder 2ml



1 Wash hands. Collect all ingredients and equipment.
2 Heat oven to 350 F/180 C.
3 Combine molasses or brown sugar, vanilla, and water.
4 Add egg yolk and mix well. Combine dry ingredients and add to egg mixture. Mix well (mixture should be dry and crumbly and looks like cornmeal).
5 Form dough into balls using hands to combine.
6 Roll dough into balls using hands to combine.
7 Cut into bars 1" - 2-1/2". Place on gresed cookie sheet.
8 Bake at 350 degrees F/180 degrees C (moderate) for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 140 degrees F/60 degrees C.
9 Leave in oven for another 20 minutes.
