| 2-1/4 pounds boiled gizzards | 2 cups hulled grain | 1 tablespoon butter |
| 1 | Bring the broth from boiled gizzards to a boil, adding enough water to make 5 cups. Add the hulled grain and cook for 15 minutes. Halve the gizzards and add to the hulled grain, mixing well. Melt butter, pour over hulled grain and cook over very low flame for another 10-15 minutes, until hulled grain is soft. |
