Ham Steak with Cherries

INGREDIENTS:
2 slices ham (3/4 inch thick) 3 cups Bing cherries 1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon chopped candied ginger 2 tablespoons sugar 1/8 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon flour, in 2 tablespoons water



1 Trim fat from ham and score edges. Pit cherries and cook in water until juices run. Pile cherries on ham slices. To the juices, add ginger, sugar, salt and flour that has been mixed with water. Cook until thick and pour over ham. Bake 1 hour at 350 F.
