| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 1-1/2 lbs ground meat 675g | 1 cup bread crumbs 112g | 1 small onion (grated/minced) |
| 1 small or half sweet pepper (chopped) | 1 tsp salt 5ml | 1/2 tsp pepper and thyme 2ml |
| 2 tblsps ketchup (diluted with 1/2 cup water) | 2 tblsp Worchester sauce | 2 large cabbage leaves |
| 2-3 hard boiled eggs | ||
| 1 | In mixing bowl put meat and all other seasonings. Leave 1/2 cup bread crumbs to cover top. |
| 2 | Mix well to a soft consistency. |
| 3 | Grease loaf tin and line with cabbage leaves. |
| 4 | Put 1/2 of meat mixture in tin. Put boil eggs on top. Cover with other half of mixture, press down firmly. Cover top with bread crumbs. |
| 5 | Dot with margarine or use two rashers of bacon. |
| 6 | Bake at 350 F/180C for 40-45 minutes or until done. Serve hot-Use as a main dish. |
