Fruit Compote (Kompot Owocowy)

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup dried fruit 2 cups water 3/4 cup sugar
1 stick cinnamon 3 whole cloves 2 tablespoons grated lemon rind
1 tablespoon lemon juice



1 Allow the fruit to plump up by soaking it overnight in the water. Add the remaining ingredients and heat until the sugar is dissolved. Chill for several hours, remove the cinnamon and cloves, and enjoy.
