Sweet-and-Sour Sauce

1 cup 15 minutes Cover and chill in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in a saucepan on the range top or heat in a microwave-safe bowl on 100 percent power (high) for 45 to 60 seconds.


INGREDIENTS:
1/3 cup packed brown sugar 1 tablespoon cornstarch 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon soy sauce 1 clove garlic, minced 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger



1 In a small saucepan, stir together brown sugar and cornstarch. Stir in 2/3 cup water, vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir for 2 minutes more. Serve warm.
