| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 4 tomatoes | 1/2 teaspoon salt | 1/2 teaspoon sugar |
| 1/2 teaspoon Tabasco pepper sauce | 1 tablespoon melted butter or margarine | 1/4 cup fine dry bread crumbs |
| 1/4 teaspoon dried basil | 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme | chopped fresh parsley |
| 1 | Preheat the broiler. Cut the tops off the tomatoes. Place them cut side up on a broiler pan, and sprinkle with salt and sugar. |
| 2 | In a small bowl, blend the Tabasco sauce with the butter, then add the bread crumbs, basil, and thyme. Spoon the mixture over the tomatoes. Broil 3 inches from the heat for about 5 minutes. Serve sprinkled with parsley. |
