Herb Broiled Tomatoes

INGREDIENTS:
4 tomatoes 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon Tabasco pepper sauce 1 tablespoon melted butter or margarine 1/4 cup fine dry bread crumbs
1/4 teaspoon dried basil 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme chopped fresh parsley



1 Preheat the broiler. Cut the tops off the tomatoes. Place them cut side up on a broiler pan, and sprinkle with salt and sugar.
2 In a small bowl, blend the Tabasco sauce with the butter, then add the bread crumbs, basil, and thyme. Spoon the mixture over the tomatoes. Broil 3 inches from the heat for about 5 minutes. Serve sprinkled with parsley.
