| 1 |
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. |
| 2 |
Place the cat food in a food processor or blender and grind to a coarse powder. |
| 3 |
Place the carrots in the food processor and puree. |
| 4 |
Add the applesauce and yoguart to the food processor and puree again until the mixture is smooth. |
| 5 |
Spoon the pureed mixture into a bowl. Add the 2 cups flour, ground cat food, and baking powder. Mix until a dough forms and then knead with your hands until well mixed. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour. |
| 6 |
Sprinkle the 1/4 cup flour on a breadboard. |
| 7 |
Place the dough on the floured breadboard and roll out to slightly thicker than 1/4 inch. The dough will be soft; don't roll it too thin. |
| 8 |
Use a 1-inch cookie cutter to cut out the cookies. Place the cut-out cookies on a greased cookie sheet. |
| 9 |
Bake for 5 to 7 minutes or until the bottoms are just beginning to turn golden brown. |
| 10 |
Flip the treats and bake for another 3 to 5 minutes or until golden brown. |
| 11 |
Remove from the oven, let cool thoroughly, and store in an airtight container. |
| 12 |
CRUNCHIER TREATS: If your cat loves crunchier treats, when all the cookies have been baked, turn off the oven. Place all the cookies back on a cookie sheet and return them to the oven. Leave the cookies in the cooling oven for several hours or overnight. |
