INGREDIENTS:
/2 cup high-quality dry cat food 2 cups grated carrots 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce (no cinnamon)
/2 cup plain yogurt 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking powder
/4 cup flour, for rolling out treats

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Place the cat food in a food processor or blender and grind to a coarse powder.
Place the carrots in the food processor and puree.
Add the applesauce and yoguart to the food processor and puree again until the mixture is smooth.
Spoon the pureed mixture into a bowl. Add the 2 cups flour, ground cat food, and baking powder. Mix until a dough forms and then knead with your hands until well mixed. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour.
Sprinkle the 1/4 cup flour on a breadboard.
Place the dough on the floured breadboard and roll out to slightly thicker than 1/4 inch. The dough will be soft; don't roll it too thin.
Use a 1-inch cookie cutter to cut out the cookies. Place the cut-out cookies on a greased cookie sheet.
Bake for 5 to 7 minutes or until the bottoms are just beginning to turn golden brown.
Flip the treats and bake for another 3 to 5 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove from the oven, let cool thoroughly, and store in an airtight container.
CRUNCHIER TREATS: If your cat loves crunchier treats, when all the cookies have been baked, turn off the oven. Place all the cookies back on a cookie sheet and return them to the oven. Leave the cookies in the cooling oven for several hours or overnight.
