4 bite-sized treats

INGREDIENTS:
1 unwrapped cheese single 1 tablespoon canned pumpkin

1 Place the square of cheese on a microwave-safe plate. Cut it in half.
2 Spread the pumpkin on one half of the cheese, covering the entire piece.
3 Place the other half of the cheese on top of the pumpkin, creating a cheese sandwhich with pumpkin in the middle.
4 Cut this cheese sandwich into four equal pieces, spreading them out just a little on the plate.
5 Microwave for 5 to 10 seconds (the time will depend on your microwave) until the cheese softens but does not melt and change shape.
6 Offer one piece of the treat at a time to your cat. If any are left over, store in the refrigerator. Rewarm in the microwave for a few seconds before serving.
7 CHEESY TREATS WITH CANNED CAT FOOD: Although the smell of warm canned cat food might not appeal to you, I bet your cat will enjoy it! Use a spoonful of your cat's favorite canned cat food in place of the canned pumpkin. Using a fork, poke several holes in the cheese before microwaving so the smells of the warm cat food ooze out, tempting your kitty.
8 CHEESY TREATS WITH LEFTOVER MEAT: Cats love meat! Use some chicken, turkey, beef, or other leftover meat. Just shred or chop the meat into tiny pieces before placing it on the cheese. Using a fork, poke holes in the cheese before microwaving so that the meaty smells come out.
9 EXTRA CHEESY TREATS: For cats who really go wild for cheese, place a different type of cheese inside the cheese sandwich. For example, use American cheese on the top and bottom with a piece of Swiss cheese or cheddar inside. Try some different cheeses, such as feta or mozzarella, with a shake of dried Parmesan on top.
