| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 1 cup butter | 1 cup sugar | 5 eggs |
| 1 teaspoon rum to flavor | 1/4 teaspoon mace | 2 cups flour, sifted |
| 1 | Cream butter thoroughly, and then cream it some more. Gradually work in sugar and beat well. After adding each egg, beat again. Add flavoring and mace and gradually work in the flour. The eggs and the beating furnish the leavening for this cake. Bake in 8 inch greased loaf pan for 45 minutes in moderate 350 F. oven. |
