To prepare the filling, combine 1 cup water and the butter in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from the heat. Add the flour. Stir until smooth. Stir in the eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Add the almond extract. Pour over the crust. bake for 55 to 60 minutes. |

To prepare the frosting, combine the confectioners' sugar, butter, and almond extract. Add the milk, a little at a time, until the frosting reaches a spreading consistency. Spread over the baked puff. |
