| 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour | 1 teaspoon salt | 1 teaspoon white pepper |
| 1 teaspoon ground ginger | 1 tablespoon safflower oil | 2 egg yolks, beaten |
| 3/4 cup beer, at room temperature | ||
| 1 | Blend in a mixing bowl the flour, salt, pepper, ginger, oil, and egg yolks. Add the beer, stirring constantly. Refrigerate the batter for at least 3 hours before using. I like to add a beaten egg white or two and fold this in at the last minute. |
