Rose Pasta (Gul Manti)

INGREDIENTS:
6 oz ground beef or lamb 1 onion, chopped fine 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
salt and ground black pepper 10 oz phyllo pastry, fresh or frozen 1 egg yolk, for brushing
garlic yogurt, to serve



1 Place the meat in a bowl with the onion, parsley, and seasoning. Mix well.
2 Preheat a 350 F oven. On a floured surface, cut the phyllo pastry into large triangles. Place 1 tablespoon of the meat mixture in the center of one side of a triangle. Fold over the two corners and roll like a cigar. Then, starting from one end, roll the cigar shape into a rose shape, sticking the end with a little water. Repeat with all the triangles.
3 Brush the manti with egg yolk and bake in the oven for 25 minutes, until golden. Place in a serving dish and pour over the garlic yogurt.
