Madbear's Elk Stew

INGREDIENTS:
12 dried wild turnips 1 lb dried elk meat 2 cups rice
7 wild onions (dice green onion tops) salt and pepper to taste



1 Soak dried turnips for 1 hour, use a large kettle for the stew. Let the turnips and dried meat simmer for 2 hours. Then add the onions, green tips and rice. Add salt and pepper and season to taste.
2 Boil for 10 minutes, cover and then let the stew simmer for 5 minutes. The stew is then ready to serve.
