| 2-3/4 lbs fresh cod | 1 quart potatoes, diced | 2 tbsp butter |
| 2 cups water | 2 tsp salt | 1/4 tsp pepper |
| 1 | Combine ingredients and boil, covered, for 25 minutes. Drain well and mash, roll into 2 inch balls and deep fry. |
