| 1-1/2 lbs hamburger | 1/2 onion, chopped | 1 (4-oz) can green chilies, chopped |
| 1 can enchilada sauce | 1 (10-3/4oz) can cream of mushroom soup | 1 pkg tortilla shells |
| 16 slices American cheese | ||
| 1 | Fry hamburger and onion together; add chiles, enchilada sauce and soup. Heat thoroughly. Alternate layers of sauce, tortilla shells and cheese, ending with cheese in 13x9-in baking dish. Bake, covered, at 350 F. for 1 hour. |
