| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 1 No. 303 can pumpkin | 3 cups sugar | 1-1/2 tsp salt |
| 4 beaten eggs | 1/2 cup corn oil | 1 tsp ground nutmeg |
| 1 cup chopped nuts | 3 cups sifted flour | 3 tbsp water |
| 2 tsp soda | 1 tsp ground cloves | 1 tsp ground cinnamon |
| 1 | Blend all dry ingredients except soda and nuts well, make pocket in center of dry ingredients and add eggs, pumpkin and cooking oil. Mix well, using hand electric mixer on high speed until very smooth. Add soda to water, then beat into the pumpkin batter with mixer. Add coarsely chopped nuts, mixing with a spoon. Bake at 350 F. for one hour. When top springs back when touched, it's done. |
