INGREDIENTS:
5 cups flour 4 tbsp baking powder 1 tsp salt
2 cups hot water 2 lbs shortening



1 Mix 4 cups flour, baking powder, salt, add water, wetting all the dry ingredients, and let stand a few minutes for dough to rise. Take the remaining flour and some of the dough, knead lightly and shape in round pieces. Fry in deep fat, drain on paper towel.
