| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 1 cup (2 sticks) butter | 1 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed | 1/2 cup light molasses |
| 1 tbsp ginger | 2 tsp cinnamon | 1 tsp baking soda |
| 3-1/2 cups flour | ||
| 1 | Preheat oven to 350 F. In mixing bowl cream butter; gradually add sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Blend in molasses. Sift together flour, ginger, cinnamon and soda; gradually add to creamed mixture. Chill dough for ease in handling. On lightly floured surface roll dough to about 1/8-in thickness. With floured cookie cutters cut into desired shapes. With wide spatula transfer to buttered baking sheet; bake 10-18 minutes. Let stand a few minutes before removing to wire rack to cool. |
