Oklahoma City Oriental Casserole

INGREDIENTS:
1 pkg frozen peas, cooked and drained 1 can bean sprouts, drained 2 cups mushroom pieces, drained
1/2 lb cheddar cheese 1 can water chestnuts, drained and sliced 1 can mushroom soup
1 can fried onions



1 Combine peas, mushrooms, bean sprouts, water chestnuts and put in 9-in casserole. Heat can of mushroom soup. Pour over vegetables. Grate cheddar cheese over top. Bake at 350 F. for 30 minutes. Take out of oven and put 1 can fried onions on top. Bake 15 minutes longer, until brown.
2 Serve as a vegetable or can add chicken, turkey or tuna to serve as a main course. Serve with hot buttered garlic bread.
