| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 1 lb finely ground beef | 1 lb lean ground pork | 2 eggs slightly beaten |
| 1-1/2 cups milk | 2 cups fine dry bread crumbs | 1/2 tsp nutmeg (do not omit) |
| 1 tsp salt | 1/2 tsp pepper | 1 tbsp grated onion |
| 1 tbsp butter | ||
| 1 | Combine meat, add sauteed onions in butter, and seasonings. Beat eggs with milk, cover the crumbs and let stand 10 minutes, then add to meat mixture. Shape into tiny balls, dredge in flour, brown in hot fat in a large skillet. Add enough hot milk to just cover meat balls, simmer 30 minutes or until done. Serve with hot buttery noodles. |
