| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 1/4 cup shortening (bacon or ham drippings are good) | 1/4 cup grated cheese | 1 teaspoon salt |
| 1 cup cooked beans that have been mashed | ||
| 1 | Melt shortening in a skillet. |
| 2 | Add mashed beans and salt to melted shortening and cook over medium heat until the beans are saturated with shortening-five or ten minutes. Stir frequently to prevent beans from burning. |
| 3 | Add cheese and cook a minute or two longer, to melt the cheese. |
