| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 2 cups sifted flour | 3 teaspoons baking powder | 3/4 teaspoon salt |
| 1-1/2 teaspoons sugar | 1 cup grated Cheshire cheese | 1/2 cup chopped onion |
| 1 egg, beaten by hand with fork | 3/4 cup milk | 2 tablespoons melted butter |
| 1 | Sift together dry ingredients, add cheese and onion. Combine egg and milk and butter. Add to dry ingredients. Stir to blend well, do not beat. Turn into a greased 8 inch bread pan. Let stand 20 minutes. In a preheated 350 F. moderate oven bake for 1 hour. |
