Taffy (Frances hall, Hancock Shaker Village)

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup sugar 1/2 cup honey 1/8 tespoon salt
1 tablespoon butter



1 Cook all together until a ball is formed when dropped in cold water. Pour on buttered platter until cool enough to pull. Butter hands and pull until hard. All taffy takes two people to pull unless you have a hook set in the wall to secure one end of the taffy. When taffy is cool cut with scissors and wrap in paper twisting both ends.
