| 1-1/2 cups white flour | 1-1/2 cups whole wheat flour | 2 tablespoons sugar |
| 1 teaspoon baking powder | 1 cup warm water | 1/4 cup shortening |
| 1 | Sift dry ingredients together, work in shortening thoroughly. Add water slowly until dough is formed. Cover and let rest for 15 minutes. Dived into 10 balls and roll or pat out into thin rounds. Bake on hot griddle until done on both sides. |
