| round steak, cut in strips | 1 can consomme | 1 can celery, cut crosswise |
| 1 large onion, chopped fine | 3 green peppers, cut lengthwise | cooked rice |
| 2 tablespoons cornstarch | 3 tablespoons water | 1 tablespoon soy sauce |
| 1 | Brown steak. If tough, simmer until tender. Add 1 can consomme soup, undiluted and celery, onion and green pepper. Simmer 25 minutes. Add 2 tablespoons cornstarch stirred into 3 tablespoons water and 1 tablespoon soy sauce. Simmer 5 minutes. Serve over rice. |
