| 2 cups sifted flour | 3 teaspoons baking powder | 6 tablespoons white sugar |
| 1/2 teaspoon salt | 1 egg, well beaten | 1 cup milk |
| 3 tablespoons melted butter | 3/4 cup drained chopped cherries | |
| 1 | Sift flour into mixing bowl with baking powder, sugar, and salt. Combine egg, milk, and butter. Add to dry ingredients. Add cherries, stirring only until blended. Fill greased muffin pans 2/3 full. Bake at 425 F. for 20 to 30 minutes. |
