| INGREDIENTS: | ||
| 1/2 cup finely ground blue cornmeal | 1/2 cup all-purpose flour | 1/4 cup dry milk |
| 1 tablespoon baking powder | 2 tablespoons shortening | 1 cup warm water |
| 1 | Combine dry ingredients and stir. |
| 2 | Melt shortening in water and add to dry ingredients, beating well. |
| 3 | Drop by spoonfuls onto a lightly greased, hot griddle and cook until golden brown on both sides. Turn once. |
