| 2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted | 3-1/2 teaspoons baking powder | 1 teaspoon salt |
| 1 tablespoon sugar | 3 tablespoons butter | 1-1/4 cups milk |
| 1 | Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Sift dry ingredients into a mixing bowl. Cut in the butter; add milk and mix into a dough. Drop by spoonfuls onto a lightly buttered baking sheet. Bake until light brown, approximately 12 to 15 minutes. |
