| 2 or 3 game hens, halved | 1 tablesoon soy sauce | 2 tablespoons sugar |
| 1 teaspoon powdered ginger | 1 clove garlic, minced | 2 tablespoons sherry |
| 2 tablespoons oil | 1/4 cup consomme | |
| 1 | Sprinkle game hen halves lightly with salt and pepper, and combine remaining ingredients. Brush hens on all sides with marinade, and place in crock cooker, arranging all as close to the bottom as possible. Pour over remaining marinade and cover. Cook for 9 to 10 hours at low heat. Serve with hot rice. |
